Interactive Diaries

Working with Kazuhiro and Shiu_Feng, we developed a interactive dvd in which user input can control the actions on the dvd.

The end user can select which of the following four objects, a glass of water, a vase of water, a cup of coffee and a gold fish, that they can move around. The overall idea is that the end user can put all the water in any of the following objects but they can never put the goldfish in the cup of coffee.

We first drew out this diagram in order to understand the possible selections that end-user can make and then edited the entire film into smaller sequences in Final Cut Pro and exported it into DVD Studio Pro where they we created the menu and trackers. In the diagram "W" stands for water, "F" stands for fish, and "C" stands for Coffee.

The final interactive dvd was displayed in class and we got some great feed and did inform the class the goldfish was actually a composite that we photoshoped into the film and he actually was not harmed in our project. Below is a short video which shows the video footage that we imported into dvd studio pro in order to prepare and finalize our interactive video.
